New Executive Director

Roberto Zapata is the Director of Library and Cultural Assets for the City of Waco, overseeing the Waco-McLennan County Library system, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, and the new Bledsoe-Miller STEAM Center.

New Texas Ranger Roster

A new online Texas Ranger Roster is available at the Texas Department of Public Safety website. Previously available on TRHFM website, we have been working with Texas DPS to transfer the database to their website. We are honored to have provided this service in the past and look forward to accessing the database on their website.

New John Aycock Exhibit Opens

A new exhibit honoring John “Johnnie” Aycock (1947-) was installed in the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. John began his career with the Texas DPS in 1968 after serving in Vietnam and being awarded the Bronze Star. In 1982, he was promoted to the Texas Rangers, where he served with Company F in Temple, TX.

Gift of Western Art

The Museum received a gift of Western art entitled Early Texas Ranger by Clyde Heron. It depicts a Texas Ranger during the years of the Frontier Battalion (1874-1900) looking toward the horizon. The Ranger is standing with a Winchester 1873 resting on his leg and a Colt Single Action revolver on his hip. He is wearing typical western clothing.
