Come see a special exhibit in the Spindletop Tower at the Tobin and Anne Armstrong Texas Ranger Research Center. This exhibit, entitled "Rangers Through Time", features Rangers from the 1840s through the 1990s and traces how their image has changed over time.
Paintings, photographs, medals, firearms, and sculpture together highlight both celebrated Rangers and objects associated with their service. Rather than telling a single story, this exhibit offers a broad view of the Rangers’ long presence in Texas history and invites people to reflect on how memory, identity, and representation have shaped their legacy.
The exhibit was created in collaboration with the Museum Studies Department at Baylor University, Professor Erik Swanson and students from the Exhibit Design and Preparation class.
