Introducing Roberto Zapata as Executive Director
Roberto Zapata is the Director of Library and Cultural Assets for the City of Waco, overseeing the Waco-McLennan County Library system, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, and the new Bledsoe-Miller STEAM Center.
He most recently served as Assistant Director of Customer Experience at Houston Public Library and has held various roles with the San Antonio and McAllen Public Libraries. Roberto brings a deep commitment to community engagement, education, and access across all of Waco’s cultural institutions.
As he steps into leadership at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, Roberto is excited to build on its legacy while planning for strategic updates to exhibits, technology, and visitor experiences—ensuring the museum remains a vibrant, relevant, and welcoming destination for generations to come.
