Composition of the Texas Rangers
|
The
Texas Rangers are a major division of the department consisting of
the number of rangers authorized by the legislature. The highest ranking
officer of the Texas Rangers is responsible to and reports directly
to the director. Officers are entitled to compensation as provided
by the legislature.
