City of Waco Leadership
The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum is an educational and preservation partnership established in 1964. The City of Waco manages the historical center with the State Legislature and Texas Public Safety Commission sanctioning it as the official museum, Hall of Fame memorial and repository of the Texas Rangers. It is a governmental 170(c) nonprofit with donations qualifying as tax-deductible.
The City of Waco is administered through a council-manager form of government. Citizens are represented on the city council by six elected members; five from single-member districts and a mayor who is elected at-large.
