Fred "Ted" Vickers

Fred "Ted" Vickers, a lifelong resident of Sinton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. He was 90 years young and was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and uncle.

He was born to Silas Ramsey and Willie Maude Vickers on December 17, 1915 in Sodville, Texas. Ted was retired from Marathon Oil Company since 1979. He was a devoted rancher in the community, loved gardening and sharing his produce from his gardens with so many people.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Noami "Nonie" Vickers, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, his parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

He is survived by one son, Dr. Michael (Linda) Vickers of Falfurrias, Texas; three daughters: Becky (John) Lawson of East Whitepoint-Taft, Texas, Susie (Steve) Mabe of New Braunfels, Texas, and Teddine (Chuck) Coulter of Aransas Pass, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, one special cousin, Farrah Vickers of Sinton, Texas.
