Billly J. Green
December 14, 1930– October 19, 2005

Ranger B. J. Green was born to Charles
and Leona Green in Archer County Dec. 14, 1930. He was a star high school athlete, a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, a longtime Mason,
a devoted husband and loving father.

B.J. began his 38-year career in law enforcement as a Texas Highway Patrolman before serving in Companies "C" and "D" of the Texas Rangers. He retired as a lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division of the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department.

Survivors include his sister, Betty Jo Eubanks; brother, Max Green and wife Bethalice, all of Archer City; daughters, Bilita Merritt and husband Sonny of Ft. Worth, and Brenda Carter and husband Bill of Lubbock; a son, Bobby Green of Graham; grandchildren, Larry Merritt of Albuquerque, N.M., Shea Trainham of Lubbock, and Brittany Merritt Gonzales and husband Chris of College Station.
