Actor Robert Duvall Visits the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame

Texas Rangers Co. "F" Capt. Kirby Dendy welcomes
Actor Robert Duvall
to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco.

Mr. Duvall donated his time to film
a thirty-second television commercial and public service
announcement for the museum. The PSA will air on city
cable channels across Texas. The staff from the City
of Waco's City Cable Channel WCCC10, the only high
definition municipal cable channel in the nation, filmed
the segment.
On Thursday, April 8, 2010, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum
welcomed Academy Award Winner Robert Duvall (Augustus "Gus"
McCrae on Lonesome
Dove)and his wife actress Luciana Pedraza to the museum.


Deputy Assistant Director Capt. Hank
Whitman (left), Mr. Duvall's friend and Texas DPS Commissioner
Tom Clowe (right), arranged the visit to the museum.

Joe Hinton, museum board chairman (center), Mayor Virginia DuPuy
and Waco City Manager Larry Groth appointed Mr. Duvall
an honorary member of the museum Board.

Senior
Captain Antonio Leal, Assistant Director of Texas Department
of Public Safety and Chief the Texas Rangers Division,
presented Mr. Duvall with a Texas Ranger service hat. Mr.
Duvall also received a service belt buckle and a commemorative
pocket knife from Company "F" Texas
Rangers which has its headquarters at the museum.

The night concluded with
a tour of the museum galleries. Byron Johnson, museum Director,
shows Mr. Duvall the exhibit on Clyde Barrow and Bonnie
Parker's gang.
